The aim of the current research was the effects of organizational ambidexterity and innovation capabilities on organizational performance in higher education: testing the mediating role of talent management. From the point of view of the method, this study is descriptive of the correlation type, which uses the structural equation model test and maximum likelihood estimates with skewness adjustment. The statistical population of the research included all the official employees of Hakim Sabzevari University working in the first semester of 1405-1404 academic year in the number of 480 people, and the sample size was determined as 214 people based on Morgan's table. Data were collected through 4 standard questionnaires including talent management, organizational ambivalence, organizational performance and innovation capability based on a 5-point Likert scale. The face and content validity of the questionnaires was confirmed by a group of experts in the field of educational management, and the construct validity was also confirmed using confirmatory factor analysis. Also, the reliability of the tools was obtained using Cronbach's alpha coefficient for the variables as 0.87 for talent management, 0.70 for organizational ambivalence, 0.86 for organizational performance and 0.71 for innovation capability. The obtained data were analyzed using SPSS 26 and LISREL 8.5 software. The research findings indicate the positive, direct and significant effects of ambivalence and innovation capability on organizational performance; Also, innovation ability affects talent management. Finally, the mediating role of talent management in the effects of organizational ambidexterity and innovation capability on organizational performance was confirmed.
