بررسی رابطه بین شیوه فعلی گزینش دانشجو و موفقیت در دانشگاه

The present article is indicative of the consequences of research on the relation between the current trend in the student admission and the student achievement. The sample group has been chosen from among the students who have been admitted by the university in 1991-199 2 academic year in one of the following fields: Basic Sciences, Humanities, Technical Engineering in professional and comprehensive universities. The findings of this article indicates that: 1- The achievement of the students who have been admitted on the base ofne of the first jive choices has been much greater than that of those admitted in accordance with their choices other than the first five. 2- With regard to the present procedure, a great number of students are studying in the fields they are not intrested in. 3- There is a positive correlation between interest in the field of study and student achievement. It is noteworthy that in this research other criteria including the final G.P .A of high school, selection of the local students, and comparison of the students achievement between different regi,onal student allocation, have been taken into consideration.
