Determining Factors Affecting Current Budget of Universities

In this article efforts have been made to determine the role of factors affecting current budgets of universities together with as well as an analytic model for improving resource allocation. To achieve this objectives, the authur, first, introduces a model comprising the manners of allocating annual budget of universities under two categories of personnel and non-personnel factors. In this study, the author makes use of regression analysis in order to determine the factors affecting the current budget of universities as well as measuring lhe extent of their effect. Furthermore, the statistical data required by this study have been obtained from 25 universities affiliated to the Ministry of Culture and Higher Education in 1992. In the end, the author concludes by reasoning that there may be still other factors involve . in determining the current university budgets; factors such as: educational quality of universities.
