This article aims at introducing the Organization of the Study and Compilation of University Textbooks in the Humanities, abbreviated as SAMT. The author first points to the history of the establishment of this organization in 1984 and then illustrates its structure, function, and performance, discussing the obstacles and problems that it confronts. In the end, the author invites researchers, authors, and university f acuity members to cooperate with SAMT in enriching the research and scientific affairs of the country.
