Abstract
Much Attention has been given to selection and training employees in modern organizations. However, investigation in relation to job satisfaction, work motivation, and job performance is relatively a new approach. In the recent decades we are experiencing a line of research which has developed various motivational theories. " Goal setting theory " with a strong conceptual framework, is one of the theories. This theory is presented in this paper. The related model is discussed and the illustrative programs are described; programs that aim at creating organizations in which employees are satisfied and more productive.
