Kordestan and Inequity in Education

چکیده [English]

The present article is stemmed from a thesis under the topic of "Design of Optimal Model for Educational Planning in Kordestan, Based on the Analysis Managment". The main goal was to provide the optimal model of educational planning on the basis of the findings from territorial management analysis. The main question of the study was to detemine the extent to which the principles of territorial management analysis the educational program of Kordestan region. 1. The results show that educational planning of Kordestan have not been based on territorial management principles. No harmony can be observed among different dimensions of development, specially with respect to educational planning, proportional distribution of facilities and educational chances. 2. The political, cultural, social and economic characteristic of Kordestan requires special attention to be paid to the needs of the region __ and regional development and planning approach to be emphasized. 3. Territorial management approach is an appropriate tool for measurement of potentials and educational needs of the region. It also privides a list of activities necessary for the development of Kordestan region in a long term educational planning framework. The study also emphasizes on the importance of ethical, cultural and economic co·nsiderations in educational planning, since they facilitate the optimal use of existing resources and enhancement of efficiency.
