An Investigation into Factors Effecting Academic Self- efficacy of Graduatf & Doctorate Students in Tehran University Tehran University

چکیده [English]

This article investigates the effect of social organization of the academic environment, quality and quantity of students interaction with faculty members, occupational and other characteristics Qf students on self - efficacy of the graduate students. Educational environment of the university effect various dimensions of students life including their attitudes· & behaviors. This article evaluates social & organizational effects of academic environment on students evaluations of thier own abilities to succeed in academic affairs & competition their particular academic requirements. The developed analytical model is tested · using a sample of 369 graduate students. In accordance with Albert Bandura theory of self - efficacy, factor analysis of the dependent variable ( academic self - efficacy) showed that academic self - efficacy is a two - dimensional construct· consisting of personal academic self - efficacy & academic self - efficacy. The student's impression of their professors, their employment in occupations relevant with their field of study and continuity of their <Studies in the same university were the most important factor effecting on 1academic efficacy. Professors' continous and professional monitoring of students activities, scientific interaction within and among student and professors, students employment in occupations related with th􀁖ir field· of study, and their living status with regardent to their family were among th_e most important factors effecting the personal academic self - efficacy of the students.
